As one of our most popular packages, the Fly-In Day trip is perfect for someone on the go and who is looking for a quick adventure trip or just wants to have a weekend getaway.
We recommend rafting down the Talachulitna River, just a 30-minute helicopter ride from Willow Creek Airpark. Experience the gentle long stretches of Class 1 segments interspersed with thrilling Class 2-4 segments. Raft and lifejackets are included for your convenience and safety. Rafting in a scenic and remote location such as the Talachulitna River increases your chances of seeing wildlife such as bears, moose, salmon, and bald eagles. Relax at the end of your rafting trip in our cozy and comfortable cabin with an in-room wood stove and separately-detached sauna. Your one-day trip includes a packed lunch, gourmet dinner with dessert, and next morning buffet breakfast. Enjoy the comfort of home in a simple, cozy historic Alaskan log cabin.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Departure at Willow Creek Airpark; 4-6 hours Heli-rafting in Alaskan wild whitewater & Float into the lodge; Alaskan style dinner in the Lodge and enjoy the historic cabin in the wilderness.
Day 2: Around 10:30 am, check out and fly back to the airpark.

You'll find the two standard chalet cabins (with large picture windows, bunkhouse arrangements, and woodburning stoves) very comfortable. Each of these economical cabins will sleep four people, for a maximum of 14 guests.
After a long, satisfying day on the river, nothing refreshes you more than a hot and relaxing shower! Located near the standard chalet cabins is the bathhouse. Two large bathrooms are equipped with a sink, shower, and a flushing toilet - along with hot and cold running water and electricity (which is generated by the lodge's own power plant)

Payment Methods: Cash, Check, Credit Card (3.5% credit card fee may apply)
Payment & Cancellation:
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your tentative reservation. Tal-Adventures Lodge will hold the space you have requested until the deposit is received. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to the arrival date.
If cancellation is made 60 days or more prior to the scheduled arrival date, we will refund your deposit minus a service fee equal to 10% of the deposit amount. If cancellation is made 15 to 59 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, 100% non-refundable.
Price does not include gratuities (10% -20% recommended).
